- Flour
- Yeast
- Salt
- Water
- Mozarella Cheese
- Olive Oil
- Fresh basil leaves
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine flour, yeast, salt, water, and a bit of olive oil.
- Knead the mixture until it forms a smooth, elastic dough.
- Let the dough rest and rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.
- Preheat your oven to its highest temperature (usually around 450-500°F or 230-260°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat as well.
- In a bowl, mix canned tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Grate mozzarella cheese.
- Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or onto a pizza peel dusted with cornmeal.
- Sprinkle a generous amount of mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- The pizza is done when the crust is golden and slightly crispy, and the cheese is bubbly with golden spots.
- Let the pizza cool for a few minutes, then use a pizza cutter to slice it.
- Serve hot and enjoy your homemade pizza!
